Department Description

The Data Services Division maintains and administers the central Town computer systems and networks. It develops computer applications for Town agencies and supports users in day-to-day use of information technology. Data Services produces computer-generated informational material required for Town government, e.g. budgets, grand lists, tax bills and other documents & reports. They maintain the Town web site, and provide Internet access and e-mail for Town offices. Additionally, this department administers Town-wide 800-MHz trunked radio system in collaboration with the Radio Committee.
