Magazine Names Old Wethersfield "Best Old-House Neighborhood"

The editors of This Old House magazine have named Old Wethersfield as one of the nation's best old-house neighborhoods. The neighborhoods are presented in the July/August issue of the magazine, scheduled to be on newsstands June 29, and online at www.thisoldhouse.com/best-places. The magazine rated communities based upon criteria such as architectural diversity, craftsmanship of the homes, the preservation momentum in the area as well as neighborhood amenities including walkability, safety and community. These neighborhoods are identified as having promising futures and homes that truly deserve a long-term commitment. Old Wethersfield is joined on the list with 50 other neighborhoods including one from every state and Canada.
