Season Waiver

To access Wethersfield's cross country skiing trails, all you have to do is agree to our terms and conditions by submitting the Season Waiver Form below.

 

Please read all rules and regulations carefully.

 

After filling your Season Waiver Form, you will promptly receive an email confirmation and you can feel free to start skiing! 

Open Season & Hours

8:00am until dusk

The trails are accessible to cross-country skiers during the winter season for as long as weather conditions permit.
Confirm accessibility by calling Wethersfield at 
(845) 373-8037.

Regulations for Use of Trails

-    The trail participant must agree to the terms on the form below upon application for the winter season pass. 
-    Please observe a carry in / carry out policy.
-    Children must be accompanied by an adult.
-    No smoking.
-    No bicycle riding allowed.
-    The property closes at dusk.
-    Please stay on the designated trails. 

Rules for Cross Country Skiing

-    No dogs are permitted on the trails during skiing season.
-    Stay off the tracks unless wearing skis.

Terms & Conditions

WITNESS THIS AGREEMENT by and between WETHERSFIELD FOUNDATION, INC.  and WETHERSFIELD ESTATE, hereinafter referred to as WETHERSFIELD and the undersigned, hereinafter referred to as PARTICIPANT.  For consideration received, and in return for the use, today and on all future dates of the property, facilities and services of WETHERSFIELD, the PARTICIPANT and PARTICIPANT’S heirs, assigns, and representatives, hereby agree as follows:

 

  1. Participant agrees to observe and obey all posted rules and warnings.

  2. Participant expressly releases Wethersfield and its representatives, agents or employees from any and all claims for personal injury, death or property damage, even if caused by negligence (if allowed by the laws of this State) by Wethersfield or its representatives, agents or employees.

  3. Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless and defend Wethersfield against, and hold harmless from, any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, judgments, orders, costs or expenses, including attorney’s fees, whether actually incurred or not, which may in any way arise from or be in any way connected with Participant’s use of or presence upon the Wethersfield property and the facilities located thereon.

  4. Participant agrees to waive the protection of any applicable statutes in this jurisdiction whose purpose, substance and/or effect is to provide that a general release shall not extend to claims, material or otherwise, which the person giving the release does not know of suspect to exist at the time of executing said release.

 

The Wethersfield Institute provides  cultural, spiritual, and intellectual programs through the generosity and support of people like you.

Wethersfield is privately maintained by the Wethersfield Foundation, and relies on your generosity and support to conserve the estate and make its gardens and grounds available for public use.

With a focus on restoration, Friends of Wethersfield funds conservation projects that maintain the estate, gardens, and grounds in accordance with their original aesthetic splendor.

The garden and trails are closed for the season.
