SUMMARY:2024 Wethersfield Adventurers Club
DESCRIPTION:Wethersfield is pleased to offer an interactive children and family program designed for ages 3-8 (but all ages are welcome) at the historic Wethersfield Estate and Garden. Each week children\, accompanied by a caregiver (this is not a drop off program)\, will explore a different part of the Wethersfield Estate\, followed by a hands-on activity\, led by educate Allison Toepp. \nWeek 1 is all about investigation! Wethersfield has pastures for grazing\, plants that feed animals\, plants that feed people\, and plants that feed each other. Our trees act as homes to plants\, insects\, animals and fungi. Our wetlands and ponds are home to plants and animals too! Students will learn to see the “big picture” and end the session by making by a colorful map to take home. \n			\n				CLICK TO REGISTER

SUMMARY:BalletCollective Youth Movement Class in the Garden
DESCRIPTION:Two classes\, one for adults\, one for young adults\, to dance in the garden with rising and preeminent professional ballet dancers\, in residence at Wethersfield\, as they prepare to perform locally. Dancers from BalletCollective (who dance for NYCB\, ABT\, Martha Graham\, and many other companies) will guide the group through a movement class and following the class be present to answer questions about the life of a dancer.
