Come enjoy nature on some of the Hudson Valley's most scenic trails. The trails are accessible  to equestrian and hiking enthusiasts between mid-April and mid-November, and to cross-country skiers during the winter season for as long as conditions permit. 

 

The trails at Wethersfield provide miles of unspoiled beauty with varying terrain, stunning views, and abundant wildlife. To access the trails, please apply for the appropriate pass and follow the directions below.

Prior to any activity on the Wethersfield trails the appropriate waiver must be signed (one per year).

Open Season & Hours

The trails are closed.

They will reopen December 18 for cross-country skiing if the conditions permit.

Map & Directions

From north or south on the Taconic State Parkway, take the exit to US44/Poughkeepsie/Millbrook. Turn east on the Route 44 toward Millbrook. Continue 10.9 miles on 44 east to Bangall Amenia Rd (County Route 86). Turn left on Bangall Amenia Rd and continue for 2.4 miles. Turn right onto Pugsley Hill Rd and drive for 1.0 miles to the trail entrance on left. Please park at the Trail Head near the red pole barn.

With a focus on restoration, Friends of Wethersfield funds conservation projects that maintain the estate, gardens, and grounds in accordance with their original aesthetic splendor.

The garden and trails are closed for the season.
