Wethersfield Pollinator Ramble

June 2, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Wethersfield Estate & Garden is delighted to open the 2023 Season with The Great Pollinator Ramble in partnership with the renowned Processional Arts Workshop. This immersive family-friendly experience entices families to seek out and to identify larger-than-life puppet pollinators scattered on-site. Provided with their own habitat-map and “life list” to guide their search, visitors wander through Wethersfield Estate & Garden – learning to spot Hudson Valley bees, butterflies, beetles hidden among trees, and gardens. Those so inclined can create their own pollinator plants to carry with them and lure curious pollinators en route. The Great Pollinator Ramble highlights 10 local species of pollinator, in the form of 20 articulated puppets, flying overhead with 5-foot wingspans. Processional Arts Workshop (PAW), led by Alex Kahn and Sophia Michahelles. The recipient of numerous awards, they have presented at Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors, the High Line, Socrates Sculpture Park, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and Miami’s Vizcaya Museum.

Rain Date: June 4, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
