Wethersfield is pleased to offer an interactive children and family program designed for ages 3-8 (but all ages are welcome) at the historic Wethersfield Estate and Garden. Each week children, accompanied by a caregiver (this is not a drop off program), will explore a different part of the Wethersfield Estate, followed by a hands-on activity, led by educate Allison Toepp.
Week 3 is all about nature’s bounty! It’s August and Wethersfield is full of edible plants, flowers, and berries. What plants can we find and who else is eating them? How can you spot edible plants? What do they taste and smell like? Together we will go on a culinary tour of Wethersfield! Students will end the session with a delicious cooking project!
